Transit Routes

loadcontainer.jpgThe Northern Corridor transport network is interconnected through several entry and exit points between the Port of Mombasa in Kenya and the landlocked countries of the Great Lakes Region.

For purposes of Customs control, the Northern Corridor Transit Agreement has designated specific entry and exit, customs offices. The aim is to establish competent customs offices at common border posts to facilitate smooth flow of transit cargo in line with the objectives of NCTA. These transit offices are specified in Protocol 3 (Article 7) of the NCTA.
