𝗡𝗖𝗧𝗧𝗖𝗔 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝗯𝗮 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺

The Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority (NCTTCA) reaffirmed its commitment to fostering inclusive trade, sustainability, and private sector development at the 3rd Juba Economic Forum, held from May 13–15, 2025, at the Central Bank of South Sudan Convention Centre. The event was hosted by the Central Equatoria Business Union (CEBU) under the theme: “𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮.”

Representing the NCTTCA Secretariat, Deputy Director for Private Sector Investment Promotion, Cezzy Kanionga , participated in panel discussions addressing South Sudan’s role in regional trade and the advancement of the African Green Economy agenda. Speaking on NCTTCA’s role, he stated:
“𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙅𝙪𝙗𝙖 𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙪𝙢 𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙉𝘾𝙏𝙏𝘾𝘼’𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚, 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣.”

The forum provided a platform for discussions on:
• 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: Highlighting the Northern Corridor Green Freight Programme and Roadside Stations, which promote environmental sustainability and the welfare of communities along transport routes.
• 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Advocating for the inclusion of women and youth in cross-border trade.
• 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Urging governments to fast-track reforms to support small-scale traders.

Additionally, the NCTTCA showcased its 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹 through live demonstrations and a plenary presentation. The platform, designed to improve access to trade and agricultural market information, was lauded by attendees for its potential to enhance regional economic integration.

The 3rd Juba Economic Forum concluded with the adoption of approximately 40 resolutions aimed at strengthening South Sudan’s agriculture sector and its role in regional trade.
